Q. Can I Own More Than One Franchise?
A. Yes, many Franchisors sell area or master franchises within a certain specified territory. These are of course costly. If you own a single franchise and are successful, then if there is an opportunity to develop in another and the territory is availabe, then the franchisor will usually be pleased to sell you another franchise for the new location. If you own a fast food franchise (ex. ice cream) you may be restricted in purchasing from another franchisor another ice cream franchise. You may be allowed to purchase a hamburger franchise or a franchise of another type.
